Two quite different trips start from San Miguel de Tucumán. One climbs into the mountains to Tafí del Valle along a road of bends. The other crosses flat country to Termas de Río Hondo, the hot-spring town in neighbouring Santiago del Estero province. This section contains both routes and the airport page, which is the starting point for either.
Where to begin
If you are flying in, open the airport page first: you can continue from there straight to either destination. If you are already in the city, pick the route. For meetings or errands at several addresses, a driver by the hour is the practical option.
