Private transfer Puerto Madryn – Península Valdés and Puerto Pirámides

Península Valdés is a protected natural area in Chubut province and a UNESCO World Heritage site, known above all for southern right whales. From Puerto Madryn a paved road crosses the isthmus to Puerto Pirámides, the only village on the peninsula and the departure point for whale-watching boats. What kind of trip you need

A transfer to Puerto Pirámides. For travellers staying in the village, or going out for a boat trip and coming back the same day with the driver waiting.

A day around the peninsula. Past the village the roads are gravel. They reach the outer coast, where sea lions, elephant seals and penguins are seen. It is a long day in the car. Ask when booking whether this circuit is available.

Conditions

The whale season runs roughly from June to December. Boats depend on wind and sea, and departures can be suspended at short notice. On the road, guanacos, rheas and sheep wander close to the tarmac, and the wind is strong on many days. There are few services outside the village, so carry water and a warm layer.

Groups travel more comfortably in a minivan. A day with waiting works like a driver by the hour.
