Applying for residency in Paraguay normally means being in Asunción in person, often for several days of appointments. Travellers who start from Argentina ask us for the ground transport around that trip. That is the part we cover: we are not immigration advisers and have no role in the application itself.
Ways to get there from Argentina
- Fly to Asunción and be met at Asunción Airport.
- By road from northern Argentina, entering Paraguay near Clorinda, in Formosa province.
- By road from Buenos Aires, a long journey that is usually planned with a stop. See Buenos Aires – Asunción.
For any route that crosses the border by road, availability and the exact conditions are confirmed when you book.
At the border
You leave Argentina through one control and enter Paraguay through another. Every passenger needs their own valid travel document. Which document is accepted, and whether you need anything else, depends on your nationality: check with the official migration authority of each country before you travel. Queues vary by day and season, and we do not promise a crossing time.
If you are applying for residency, ask your lawyer or the Paraguayan authorities how you should enter the country and which stamps or records you must keep. We cannot answer that for you.
In Asunción
Appointments tend to be spread across different offices, and their times can shift. A car with a driver for the day keeps the schedule manageable:
- You send the list of addresses and appointment times given by your lawyer or the authorities.
- The driver takes you from one to the next and waits outside.
- If an appointment moves, you tell us by message and we adjust within the booked hours.
The driver does not interpret, queue on your behalf or handle documents.
What to send us
Dates, the number of passengers, the route you prefer and whether you need the car only for arrival and departure or for the appointment days as well. More routes are under transfers to Paraguay.
Frequently asked questions
Can you tell me which documents I need for residency?
No. That is a question for your lawyer or the Paraguayan migration authority. We provide transport only.
Is it better to fly or go by road?
Flying is quicker from Buenos Aires. The road suits travellers who start in northern Argentina or carry more luggage than an airline allows.
Can the same driver stay with us for several days?
A multi-day service can be requested. Availability in Asunción is confirmed with the quote.
