The Argentine side of Iguazú Falls lies inside Iguazú National Park, a short drive by road from Puerto Iguazú. It has the longer network of walkways and the view down into the Devil’s Throat, and many visitors give it two days. A private transfer gets you to the entrance at the time you choose and collects you when you have finished.

How it works

Your driver collects you from your hotel or apartment and takes you to the park access, where the visitor centre is. Private vehicles go no further: inside, you get around on foot along the walkways and on the park’s own train.

For the return we agree a time in advance. If you finish earlier or later, send a message and we adjust.

What to consider

  • Tickets: each visitor buys their own through the park’s channels. They are not part of the transfer.
  • Circuits: the upper circuit, the lower circuit and the Devil’s Throat. Now and then one of them closes because of high water or maintenance, so check the park’s official notice the day before.
  • Weather: this is subtropical forest. Summer is hot and very humid, and rain is possible at any time of year. Bring water, comfortable shoes and something to keep your phone dry in the spray.
  • Busy periods: January, Easter, the Argentine winter holidays in July and long weekends. On those dates an early start helps.

Who goes with a driver

Families with children or older relatives, who want to return to the hotel when they are tired; groups who want to be at the gate as the park opens; and travellers short of time who fit the visit into the day of their flight.

Choosing the vehicle

Up to 3 passengers travel in a sedan. For a large family or two couples a minivan is the sensible choice; for 8, a van. Availability in Iguazú is confirmed when booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the driver come into the park with us?

No. The driver drives and drops you at the entrance, and is not a guide. A guide is hired separately.

Can I go straight from the airport?

Yes. See the Puerto Iguazú Airport page and tell us what should happen with your luggage while you walk.

Can the Brazilian side be visited the same day?

It is a different park in a different country, with a border crossing. Availability and conditions are confirmed when booking, and documents depend on your nationality.
