Private transfer Santo Tomé – São Borja

Nobody walks between Santo Tomé and São Borja: the Puente de la Integración stands outside both towns and has its own access road. A vehicle is therefore the normal way to get from the centre of the Argentine town, in Corrientes province, to the centre of the Brazilian one across the Uruguay river. Whether the route is available, and on what conditions, is confirmed at booking.

A calmer crossing than Paso de los Libres

Fewer trucks pass here than at Paso de los Libres – Uruguaiana. The crossing works with an integrated border centre, where Argentine and Brazilian officials operate in one complex. You stop once, and each passenger completes the exit from one country and the entry to the other there. Queues still form in summer, because many Argentine drivers pick this bridge on their way to the beaches.

What this transfer is used for

• Connecting with a bus: you arrive in Santo Tomé along Ruta Nacional 14 and continue from the São Borja bus terminal, or the other way round.
• Family visits and errands between the two towns.
• Seeing São Borja, a former Jesuit mission town and the birthplace of presidents Getúlio Vargas and João Goulart.

What we need to know

Tell us both addresses, how many passengers there are and whether you have large suitcases, children or a pet. That decides the vehicle: a sedan for up to 3 passengers, a minivan for 6–7 or a van for 8. Child seats are requested when booking.
