Private transfer – Ushuaia Airport and Port (USH)

Price on request: we reply with the final price for your date.

Ushuaia’s airport and port are both close to the town centre: the airport sits on a peninsula across the bay, and the pier is on the waterfront by the Beagle Channel. Trips are short, yet they often involve expedition luggage, steep streets and a flight or ship that will not wait. We arrange a private transfer; availability in the region is confirmed when booking.

Flying in

Send your flight number and the exact name of your accommodation. Driver and vehicle details are sent before the trip. The flight is followed by its number, and your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign.

A number of hotels stand on the hillside above town or along the coast outside it, so the name of the property matters more than the street.

Cruise passengers

Antarctic expedition ships and other cruises use this port, mainly in the southern summer. The pier is a controlled area, and each operator sets its own embarkation time and procedure. To plan the car we need:

  • the ship and the operator;
  • the check-in or disembarkation time you were given;
  • how many large bags you have.

The driver drops you at, or meets you at, the access point for the pier.

Beyond the town

Transfers also run to Cerro Castor in the ski season and to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Groups with expedition duffels should ask for a minivan or an 8-seat van.

Frequently asked questions

Should I fly in on the day my cruise sails?

That is your decision and your operator's advice comes first. Many passengers arrive a day early so that one delayed flight does not put the sailing at risk.

Can you meet us at the pier after the cruise and go to the airport?

Yes. If there are hours to fill before the flight, a car with waiting time can also take you around in between.

Do winter conditions affect the transfer?

Steep streets can be icy. Conditions are checked beforehand and more time is allowed.
