Transfers to matches in Asunción

Asunción regularly hosts Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana matches, as well as Paraguay’s home internationals. For a visiting supporter, the hard part is not reaching the city but getting close to the stadium and away from it afterwards. We arrange a private transfer there and back for one person, a family or a group of friends.

What we need to know

  • Which match it is and which stadium. The two most used for these games are Defensores del Chaco and General Pablo Rojas, known as La Nueva Olla.
  • Where you start: Asunción airport, a hotel in the city, or Clorinda and Formosa on the Argentine side.
  • How many you are. Up to 8 people travel in one van; larger groups go in two or more vehicles together.
  • Whether you return the same night or stay over.

On match day

  1. Leave with a wide margin. Kick-off times can change, so follow the official announcements and tell us.
  2. The border, if you come from Argentina. When many supporters travel, the queue grows.
  3. Arrival near the stadium. Both grounds are inside the city, and on match days the surrounding streets are closed. Your driver drops you as close as the security cordon allows and you walk the last part.
  4. Meeting again at a point fixed in advance, a few blocks away. After the final whistle mobile networks are overloaded, so do not rely on sending a message.

What we do not do

We do not sell tickets; buy them through the official channels. We also have no say in which entrance each set of supporters uses. The organisers’ and police instructions apply.

Border and conditions

Each passenger crosses with their own valid document. Which one is accepted depends on nationality, so confirm it with each country’s migration authority. Availability of the service, including a late-night return, is confirmed at booking. We do not promise a crossing time. The border stretch is described under Clorinda – Asunción.

Frequently asked questions

Does the driver wait during the match?

Yes, if you book a return with waiting time. The meeting point is fixed before you go in.

What if the game goes to extra time and penalties?

The driver waits until the end. That is why the return is not tied to a fixed hour.

Can you bring us from further inside Argentina?

Yes, from Formosa, Resistencia and other cities. For long drives, see the routes under transfers to Paraguay.
