Microcentro is the downtown area of banks, offices, government buildings and hotels. From Monday to Friday it is crowded and several streets have restricted traffic; in the evenings and at weekends it is almost empty. That contrast is the first thing to know when planning a transfer here.
Pedestrian streets and restricted traffic
Florida and Lavalle are pedestrian streets, and in part of the area vehicles face restrictions on working days. In practice:
- If your hotel or office is on a pedestrian street, we meet at the nearest corner where cars can circulate.
- The driver messages you with the exact spot. If you have suitcases, allow for that short walk.
- Hotels usually know the most convenient point: ask at reception and pass it on to us.
Demonstrations and closures
Demonstrations at Plaza de Mayo, the Obelisco or on Avenida 9 de Julio close streets at short notice. When a closure has been announced, we suggest leaving earlier for the airport.
To Ezeiza and Aeroparque
Aeroparque is the closer airport. For Ezeiza, on a working day the slowest part is usually getting out of the centre; the rest of the trip is by motorway.
Who travels
Mostly business passengers and tourists staying in central hotels. Companies can ask for an invoice for their visitors’ private transfers.
