Mar del Plata is Argentina’s largest seaside city and the classic summer destination for people from Buenos Aires. It lies on the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires province and is busy all year, with beaches, a fishing port, theatres, a casino and conferences. A private transfer leaves from your hotel or straight from Ezeiza or Aeroparque and takes you to the address you give us.
What kind of place it is
This is not a tropical beach: the sea is cool and the season runs from late December to March. Visitors come to see the traditional Argentine resort, walk the seafront, visit the port and eat seafood in a large working city by the ocean.
How the trip works
The route follows Autovía 2, a tolled dual carriageway, and takes several hours.
- You send us the date, both addresses, the number of passengers and your luggage.
- We send a quote per vehicle. When you confirm, you receive the driver’s and vehicle’s details.
- Stops on the way, for a coffee or to stretch your legs, are arranged when booking.
If you arrive by plane, the driver waits in arrivals with a name sign and follows your flight by its number. See Ezeiza and Aeroparque.
Give us the exact area
The city is spread out. La Perla, the centre, Playa Grande, the port area, Punta Mogotes and the southern beaches are far apart, and summer traffic inside the city is slow. With the full address the driver picks the right way in.
High season and the return
In January, February and on long weekends the road is heavily used. Leave early, book ahead and arrange the return trip at the same time.
Choosing the vehicle
A sedan for up to 3 passengers, a minivan for 6–7, a van for 8. Larger groups travel in two or more vehicles together.

Frequently asked questions
Can I go straight from Ezeiza to Mar del Plata?
Yes. The driver meets you in arrivals and the trip continues to the coast without going into central Buenos Aires.
Are there other ways to get there?
Yes: long-distance buses, a train and flights. A private transfer suits families, groups and anyone who wants to travel door to door with their luggage.
Can I ask for a child seat?
Yes, on request. Give each child's age when booking.
Is a same-day return realistic?
It is a long drive each way. Tell us your plan and we say whether it is feasible and how the driver's waiting would be arranged.
