Private transfer – Chapelco Airport (CPC)

Chapelco is the small airport for San Martín de los Andes, in Neuquén province. It stands beside the road that links San Martín with Junín de los Andes, outside both towns, so every arrival continues by road. We arrange that leg as a private transfer; availability in the region is confirmed when booking.

Trips from the airport

• San Martín de los Andes: the town on Lake Lácar where most visitors stay.
• Chapelco ski resort: in winter, for guests staying on the mountain.
• Junín de los Andes: in the opposite direction, a base for fly fishing and for visiting Lanín volcano.
• Villa La Angostura: a much longer mountain drive along the Seven Lakes road.

How the pick-up works

The terminal is small, with one arrivals hall. Book with your flight number, the number of passengers and where you are staying. Driver and vehicle details are sent before the trip, the flight is followed by its number, and your driver waits in arrivals with a sign showing your name.

Few flights, mountain weather

Chapelco has far fewer flights than Bariloche, and wind, snow or low cloud can cancel a flight or send it to another airport, often Bariloche. If that happens, message us. We check whether a vehicle can meet you there for the Bariloche – San Martín de los Andes transfer.

For the same reason, on the day you leave it is worth checking the flight status before setting off from your hotel.

Choosing the vehicle

A sedan carries up to 3 passengers with suitcases. Skis, fishing rod tubes or a family group call for a minivan or an 8-seat van. Child seats are available on request.
