Cruise ships calling at Buenos Aires dock in the port, and passengers go through the cruise terminal next to the Retiro neighbourhood. On turnaround days a lot of people leave with suitcases within a few hours, which is the main reason to arrange the transfer beforehand.
Getting off the ship
You cannot walk freely inside the port: the way between the ship and the terminal building is organised by the port itself. Your driver waits at the exit of the building, once you have your luggage with you.
- Book with the ship’s name, the date and the disembarkation time given by the cruise line.
- You receive the meeting point and the driver and vehicle details by message.
- When you come out of the terminal, write in the booking chat and the driver pulls up.
Joining the ship
This season, check-in and luggage drop are not at this terminal but at Costa Salguero, on the Costanera Norte riverside, and the cruise line’s buses take passengers from there to the ship. Your driver drops you at Costa Salguero in line with the reporting time in your cruise documents; just tell us where you are leaving from. The check-in point has changed between seasons, so confirm it with your cruise line before you travel.
Where passengers go next
- Ezeiza or Aeroparque, for a flight the same day. Aeroparque is much closer to the port than Ezeiza.
- Hotels in Retiro, Recoleta, Puerto Madero or Palermo.
- A drive around the city during a port call, using the hourly service.
Luggage and vehicle
A cruise usually means more suitcases than a short trip. A couple fits well in a sedan; four people with two weeks of luggage need a minivan. Tell us how many large suitcases you have and we settle it in the quote.

Frequently asked questions
When is the cruise season in Buenos Aires?
It is concentrated in the warm months, from spring to early autumn. Each ship's dates are published by the cruise line.
What if disembarkation runs late?
Tell us in the booking chat and we move the pick-up time.
Is a flight on disembarkation day a good idea?
It can be done, but leave a wide margin. The moment you actually leave the ship depends on your disembarkation group and on the formalities in the port.
