Private transfer – Colonia Express Ferry Terminal

Colonia Express sails across the Río de la Plata between Buenos Aires and Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay, and sells bus connections onward to Montevideo. Its terminal is in the south of the city, near La Boca and the southern end of Puerto Madero, in a port area with little going on around it.

Why most passengers come and go by car

There are no hotels or shops around the terminal, and few people are on foot there at night. Most passengers arrive and leave by vehicle. With a booked transfer, your driver is already assigned for the time of your sailing.

Outbound and return

For boarding, the reporting time is set by the company and border formalities are done at the terminal. Use that time as your reference; we agree the pick-up time with you.

Many travellers visit Colonia as a day trip and come back in the evening. If you book both ways, the return is arranged in advance. If the ferry runs late, write in the booking chat and we adjust.

Where to next

The most requested trips are to hotels in the centre, Palermo and Recoleta, and to Ezeiza or Aeroparque when a flight follows the crossing.
