Rosario Airport (ROS) is on the western edge of the city, next to the Fisherton neighbourhood, in Santa Fe province. The centre, the Flag Monument and the riverfront are at the opposite end, on the Paraná river. Getting from the airport to the centre therefore means crossing Rosario from west to east, and the traffic at that hour decides how long it takes.
Which way are you heading
- Centre and riverfront. The usual trip, straight across the city.
- Fisherton, Funes and Roldán. All on the airport’s side. Funes and Roldán have many gated communities: give the name of the community and explain how entry works.
- Industrial belt and ports. San Lorenzo, Puerto General San Martín and Timbúes lie north of the city along the river. The ring road, Avenida de Circunvalación, gets you there without entering the centre.
- Other cities. Motorways run to Santa Fe, Córdoba and Buenos Aires. Victoria, in Entre Ríos province, is reached by the bridge over the Paraná.
What is available
- Taxi and remis. Both work from the terminal. Taxis use the meter. A remis is a car with a driver booked at a desk for an agreed fare.
- Bus. Ask on arrival whether a city line or a special service runs to the centre, and how you pay.
- Ride-hailing apps. Check on the spot whether they operate and where they pick up.
- Hire car. Confirm availability before you travel rather than on the day.
- Private transfer. One vehicle for you or your group, with the driver in arrivals holding a sign with your name.
Business trips to the port area
Many people who land in Rosario come for the grain and agro-industry business. The roads to the ports carry heavy lorry traffic, most of all in the harvest months, and journey times become hard to predict. If you have a plant visit at a fixed hour, give the exact address and time when you ask for a quote. Invoices for companies are available.
Plane or road
Rosario has few flights and a motorway to Buenos Aires. Many travellers who arrive in Argentina on an international flight do this leg by road instead of connecting. We compare the options in the guide from Buenos Aires to Rosario.
Where a private transfer fits
On business trips with a tight agenda, on arrivals at gated communities in Funes or Roldán, and for groups with luggage. The price is per vehicle and agreed before the trip. See also the page on Rosario Airport and how to book.
