Transfers in Córdoba

From Córdoba city and its airport, roads lead into the sierras in three different directions, and it helps to know which is yours before booking. This section has a page for each destination, covering the road, the busiest dates and what is particular about arriving there.

Finding your way

  • Punilla valley: to the north-west, starting at Villa Carlos Paz and continuing north through a string of towns.
  • Calamuchita valley: to the south-west, through Alta Gracia, with alpine-style villages and mountain roads at the far end.
  • Traslasierra: on the other side of the Sierras Grandes, over a high road that depends on the weather.

If you arrive by air, start with the Córdoba airport page: from there we drive straight to any of the valleys.

In January and February, at Easter, on long weekends and during the July holidays the roads in the sierras are heavy with traffic. Book earlier for those dates and allow a margin. The service is always a private transfer, with a price per vehicle agreed before the trip.
