Córdoba airport, which locals call Pajas Blancas, is north of the city and a short drive from the centre. It handles domestic flights and some international ones, and serves both travellers staying in the city and those heading for the sierras, the low mountain ranges west of it. We arrange a private transfer from arrivals to whatever address you give us.
Usual destinations from the airport
- City centre and Nueva Córdoba: hotels, offices and the university district.
- Cerro de las Rosas and the north-west: residential and shopping areas.
- Sierras Chicas: Villa Allende, Río Ceballos and neighbouring towns.
- Punilla valley: Villa Carlos Paz, La Falda, La Cumbre, Capilla del Monte.
- Calamuchita valley: Alta Gracia, Villa General Belgrano, La Cumbrecita.
Trips to the sierras do not need to cross the centre: the driver takes the ring road and then the highway for your destination.
Meeting in arrivals
You book with your flight number. Before the trip we send you the driver and vehicle details, and when you come out the driver is in the hall with a sign showing your name. If the flight is delayed we know, because we follow it by its number.
Passengers and luggage
A sedan takes up to 3 passengers. Families going to the sierras for several days usually need a minivan for the suitcases; for 8 people there is a van. Ask for child seats when booking.
The sierras are busy in January and February, at Easter, on long weekends and during the July holidays. Book early for those dates.
