Private transfer – Formosa Airport (FMA)

Price on request: we reply with the final price for your date.

Formosa is the capital of the province of the same name, on the Paraguay river in the far north of Argentina’s Litoral. Its airport, known locally as El Pucú, sits on the edge of the city beside Ruta Nacional 11 and has flights from Buenos Aires. Most passengers come for work, paperwork or family; a few continue into the interior of the province or towards the border with Paraguay.

From the plane to the car

The airport is small, with a single arrivals hall. You give us the flight number when booking and receive the driver and vehicle details before you travel. The driver waits in arrivals with a sign showing your name. The flight is followed by its number, so a delay does not leave you without a transfer.

Short trips and long ones

Within the city the ride is brief: the centre, the hotels and the riverside promenade are all close. Trips into the interior are a different matter and are arranged in advance:

  • Las Lomitas and Bañado La Estrella: west along Route 81. The Bañado is a wetland visited with local guides; ask whoever organises your outing about the right time of year.
  • Laguna Blanca and Río Pilcomayo National Park: in the north-east of the province.
  • Resistencia: south along Route 11.

On these drives, with strong summer heat and few towns on the way, it is sensible to leave early and to request stops when booking.

Clorinda and crossing to Paraguay

Clorinda is in the north of the province, on the border, with an international bridge towards the Asunción area. A transfer to Clorinda is a trip within Argentina. If you want to cross, availability and conditions are confirmed when booking, and documents depend on each passenger’s nationality: check them with the official migration authority of each country. More under transfers to Paraguay.

Vehicle

A sedan for up to 3 passengers, a minivan for 6–7, a van for 8. Availability in Formosa is confirmed when booking.
