Departures from Aeroparque are mostly domestic flights within Argentina and regional flights within South America, and the airport sits inside the city, on the shore of the Río de la Plata. Being close does not mean you can leave at the last minute: city traffic decides. Before setting off, confirm that your flight leaves from Aeroparque, follow its status and plan your departure from the airline’s deadline.
How to check Aeroparque departures
Start with the airport code on your ticket: AEP is Aeroparque and EZE is Ezeiza. Some cities have flights from both, and mixing them up leaves you on the wrong side of town. If in doubt, see our guide to the airports of Buenos Aires.
With the flight number, follow the status on:
- the airline’s app, which alerts you to changes if notifications are on;
- the official website or app of the airport operator;
- the screens in the terminal, which also show your boarding gate.
Domestic or regional: what changes
On a domestic flight you go to the desk if you have a bag to check, then through security. On a regional flight emigration control is added, and check-in may be in a different part of the terminal, so follow the signs. The documents you need depend on your nationality and destination; confirm them with the airline before you travel.
In both cases, the deadlines for check-in, bag drop and boarding are set by each airline. You will find them on the ticket, in the confirmation email or in the app.
When to leave for Aeroparque
The distance is short, but the riverside avenue and the airport approaches fill up at rush hour, in the rain and when there are street closures in the centre. If you are coming from Greater Buenos Aires, add the motorway stretch. The sum is the usual one: the airline’s deadline, minus the drive, minus a margin. What stretches the journey is set out in how early to leave for the airport.
Fog, delays and a change of airport
Being by the river, Aeroparque sometimes has fog, which can delay or cancel flights. Occasionally the airline moves the flight to Ezeiza. The airline is always the one to inform you; check the app before you leave and, if anything changes, message the driver. A switch to Ezeiza changes the whole trip, so write to us as soon as you know so the booking can be reviewed. The same fog can affect your return: if a flight to Aeroparque on which you have an arrival transfer booked is diverted to Ezeiza, the driver goes there to collect you, for an additional charge agreed at the time.
Our part
We collect you from your home or hotel at the agreed time and drop you at the departures door. The driver and vehicle details reach you before the trip. More on transfers to Aeroparque.
