How to get from Aeroparque to the city centre

Team at LatamTransfer ·

Aeroparque sits inside the city, on the riverside next to the Palermo neighbourhood, which makes the ride to the centre short and gives you more low-cost choices than at Ezeiza. The weak point is the access avenue, which clogs up at peak hours and when several flights land close together. This guide sets out the options and helps you choose by luggage, time of day and where you are staying.

How near each area is

Palermo, Belgrano and Recoleta are the closest neighbourhoods. A little further on come Retiro, the Microcentro business district and Puerto Madero, and then San Telmo. We give no journey times because they depend almost entirely on traffic: the same ride can be quick on a Sunday and a slow crawl on a Friday afternoon.

Ways to leave the airport

  • Taxi. There is an official rank outside the terminal. City taxis are black with a yellow roof; at the official rank the fare is worked out before you get in, based on your destination. For one or two people it is the most direct answer.
  • Remis. Booked at a desk inside the terminal, with the price agreed before you get in.
  • Ride-hailing apps. They work as they do elsewhere in the city, with a pick-up point shown in the app. When demand is high the price rises and the wait gets longer.
  • City bus. Several lines stop in front of the airport and serve different neighbourhoods. You pay with a SUBE card or another accepted electronic method. Fine with hand luggage, awkward with big suitcases.
  • Private transfer. Booked in advance, with the driver waiting in arrivals with a name sign and the price already agreed.

There is no metro station at the airport. Walking out is not practical either: fast avenues and railway lines lie between the terminal and the neighbourhoods.

When a taxi is enough and when it is not

For one person or a couple with ordinary luggage in daytime, a taxi or an app does the job. Think again in these cases:

  1. You are more than four people or carry a lot of luggage.
  2. Children in the group need a child seat.
  3. You have a meeting, a ferry or another flight at a fixed time and do not want to depend on the queue.
  4. You are not going to the centre but to the northern suburbs, a gated community or Ezeiza for a connection.

What we do

With LatamTransfer, the Aeroparque transfer is booked with your flight number. The driver waits in arrivals with a sign bearing your name, you receive the driver’s details before the trip and the price is per vehicle. A sedan, a minivan or a van is assigned to suit the group.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take the metro from Aeroparque?

There is no station at the airport. You can combine a bus or taxi with the metro, but with suitcases it is rarely worth it.

Do taxis from Aeroparque charge a fixed price?

At the official rank the fare is worked out before you get in, based on your destination. A remis from the desk also has an agreed price. Check tolls and payment before you set off.

Does Aeroparque handle international flights?

It serves mainly domestic and regional routes. Check the airport code on your ticket: AEP is Aeroparque and EZE is Ezeiza.
