Private transfer from Buenos Aires to Gualeguaychú

Gualeguaychú is one of the towns of Entre Ríos province closest to Buenos Aires: a morning’s drive, nearly all of it on dual carriageway. In summer it is known across Argentina for its carnival and its river beaches; the rest of the year people come for the hot springs and for weekends away.

Carnival nights

The Carnaval del País takes place on summer weekend nights in a purpose-built parade ground, where costumed troupes compete with floats, music and dancers. Dates are announced each season, and passengers buy their own tickets. The show ends in the early hours, which is the main reason to go with a driver: nobody in the group has to drive back. There are two ways to do it:

• There and back the same night. The driver takes you in the afternoon, waits, and brings you home when the parade ends.
• Staying over. You book the outward trip for one day and the return for another.

Outside carnival

The town has thermal complexes, beaches on the river and cabins on the outskirts. Several of these are a good way from the centre, so send us the exact address or the name of the complex. The transfer goes to the door.

The road and the alternatives

The route leaves Buenos Aires on the Panamericana to Zárate, crosses the Zárate–Brazo Largo bridges and continues on Ruta 14. Traffic is heavier on Friday evenings and Sunday nights, especially on long weekends. There are no scheduled flights. The other option is a long-distance bus from Retiro to the town’s terminal. For a family or a group of friends, a minivan keeps everyone and their luggage together.
