Private transfer from Buenos Aires to Paraná

Paraná, the capital of Entre Ríos province, stands on high bluffs above the river it is named after, directly opposite the city of Santa Fe. There are two usual ways to drive there from Buenos Aires, and knowing which one suits you is part of planning the transfer well.

Two ways to get there

• Through Santa Fe and the tunnel. Motorway to Rosario, motorway on to Santa Fe, then under the river by road tunnel. Almost all of it is dual carriageway.
• Over the Rosario–Victoria bridge. Motorway to Rosario, across the delta by the bridge and its causeways, then a two-lane provincial road up the Entre Ríos side.

The distance is similar. The driver chooses according to the day, road conditions and your exact address; if you prefer one of the two, say so when booking.

Why people go

Paraná is the seat of the provincial government, so many trips are for meetings, paperwork and business. Families and students travel too, as do people with commitments in both capitals: Paraná is at one end of the tunnel and Santa Fe at the other.

The alternatives

Long-distance buses leave from Retiro, many of them overnight, and arrive at the city terminal. Flights are few and do not always fit a schedule. A private transfer is worth it when several people travel together, when there is a fixed time to keep, or when the plan includes stops, for example in Rosario or Victoria.

Things to bear in mind

The drive takes more than half a day. The sensible plan is an early start and one long stop for a meal. If you need to return on the same day, tell us your times: we assess whether that is workable or whether staying overnight is wiser. For groups, a minivan or a van carries everyone with their luggage.
