Private transfer Buenos Aires – Torres and Capão da Canoa

Torres and Capão da Canoa are on the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, before you enter Santa Catarina. For someone leaving Buenos Aires they are open-sea beaches that need less driving than the Santa Catarina resorts, though the trip is still long and is planned with stops and, as a rule, a night on the way. Whether the route is available, and on what conditions, is confirmed at booking.

Close on the map, different on arrival

• Torres: stands on the state line with Santa Catarina and takes its name from the basalt cliffs that drop into the sea. It is the more scenic of the two, with Guarita park and a hot-air balloon festival that fills the town.
• Capão da Canoa: further south, an urban resort of apartment blocks and holiday homes with a wide, straight beach. Its visitors are mostly families from the state itself.

The road

From Buenos Aires the trip goes north on Ruta Nacional 14 and crosses to Uruguaiana at Paso de los Libres. On the Brazilian side the BR-290 highway runs across the state to the Porto Alegre area and continues as a motorway to Osório; from there you head north along the coast. When to arrive

In summer the motorway between Porto Alegre and the coast is very busy at weekends: towards the sea on Friday, back on Sunday. If you can choose, arrive on a weekday.

Border and documents

Every passenger needs a valid travel document. Which one is accepted depends on nationality, so check with the migration authority of both countries. Minors without both parents usually need an authorisation. We do not promise a crossing time.
