The falls have two airports in two countries: IGR in Argentina and IGU in Brazil. Travelling between them by road lets you join an Argentine domestic flight to a Brazilian domestic one, for example arriving from Buenos Aires and flying on to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. A border lies between the two terminals, and the whole plan depends on it. Availability of the transfer is confirmed when you book.
The gap between flights
This is the sensitive part. The two flights are usually separate tickets, so the second airline will not wait or rebook you if you arrive late. On top of that comes the queue at the Tancredo Neves Bridge, which varies by hour, day and season. We do not promise a crossing time. The cautious approach is to leave several free hours between the flights or, better, to spend a night in the area and see the falls.
We follow your arriving flight by its number. We have no influence over the departing one.
How it works
- The driver meets you in arrivals with a name sign.
- The vehicle heads towards Puerto Iguazú and takes the access to the international bridge.
- Argentine exit control, then Brazilian entry control.
- The drive continues across Foz do Iguaçu to the Rodovia das Cataratas, where the Brazilian terminal stands.
Landing in Brazil and departing from Argentina, the same steps run in reverse.
What we need from you
- The number and time of both flights.
- How many passengers and suitcases.
- Whether children need a child seat.
- Whether you want a stop on the way.
Documents
Even if both of your flights are domestic, this transfer is an international journey. Every passenger shows their own travel document, and which one is accepted depends on nationality: confirm it with the migration authorities of both countries.

Frequently asked questions
How much time should I leave between the two flights?
We do not give a fixed figure, because it depends on the border queue and on whether the first flight is on time. Send us your times and we will say frankly whether the plan looks reasonable.
Can I use the gap to see the Brazilian falls?
Foz airport is on the same road that leads to the Brazilian park. With many free hours, a stop with waiting can be agreed; you buy the park tickets yourself.
How many suitcases fit?
That depends on the vehicle. For more than 3 passengers or a lot of luggage, ask for a minivan.
