Parque das Aves is a bird park in Foz do Iguaçu, a short walk from the entrance to the Brazilian side of the falls. It is devoted to birds of the Atlantic Forest, and the visit is a forest trail that passes through large walk-in aviaries where toucans and macaws fly close to visitors. From Puerto Iguazú it means crossing into Brazil; we arrange the private transfer there and back, with availability and conditions confirmed when you book.
Who usually books it
- Families with children, for whom it is often a highlight of the stay.
- Wildlife photographers.
- Travellers who have already seen both national parks and have a free morning or afternoon.
On its own or with the falls
The bird park takes less time than the falls. Many visitors pair it with the Brazilian side on the same day, since the two entrances face each other and the vehicle stays in one place. If you only want the bird park, the driver can wait or come back at an agreed time.
Each visitor buys their own ticket. Before you fix the date, check the park’s official channels for the days it is open.
The border in between
Between your hotel and the park there is Argentine exit control, the Tancredo Neves Bridge and Brazilian entry control. Every passenger carries their own travel document, children included. Which document applies depends on nationality and should be checked with the migration authority of each country. If a minor travels without both parents, find out which authorisation is required. Queues vary, and we do not promise a crossing time.

Frequently asked questions
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Tell us the age of each child when you book.
How much waiting time should we ask for?
It depends on your pace and on whether you add the falls. Tell us the plan and we set it out in the quote.
Is it worth going in the rain?
The transfer runs as planned. The trail is outdoors among trees, so bring a rain jacket.
