Private transfer Mendoza – Uco Valley

The Uco Valley lies south-west of Mendoza city, right against the Andes, and takes in the districts of Tupungato, Tunuyán and San Carlos. This is a proper road trip, not a hop to the suburbs: you head south on Ruta Nacional 40, and once in the valley the wineries are a long way from one another.

Why people make the trip

High-altitude vineyards with the mountains behind them, wineries with contemporary architecture, restaurants serving multi-course lunches, and lodges set among the vines. Some visitors come for the day from Mendoza; others stay in the valley.

Two ways to use the transfer

• There and back in a day: the driver takes you, waits during the visits and lunch, and returns you to your hotel. Nobody in the group drives after tasting.
• Transfer to your accommodation: from the city or straight from Mendoza airport, with your luggage, and the return on another day.

How to plan

Visits and lunches are booked with each winery and paid by you. Because distances inside the valley are large, it is wise to pick a small number of wineries in the same area. Send us the times and we tell you whether the route works.

The last stretch to some wineries is on gravel, and the driver slows down accordingly. Outside summer the mornings are cold, so bring a warm layer even on a clear day.

Groups of more than 3 can ask for a minivan or a van. If you would rather stay closer to the city, see the Luján de Cuyo and Maipú wineries.
